If you have any concerns about your child please contact your child's teacher or the Headteacher straight away. Teachers are available for a brief chat at the end of the school day and most problems are easily solved if you raise them immediately. If you need a longer discussion, please ring to make an appointment.
Home/School agreement
We ask you to sign our Home/School agreement as a way of clarifying what we see as our responsibilities as a school, and yours as a parent. Please click here to view a copy.
Health and first aid
Please keep us informed of any health problems which affect your child. Everyday bumps and grazes will be treated in school, but we will contact you immediately in the case of anything more serious, or if your child feels unwell.
Absence
If your child is not at school for any reason please contact the school office on the first day of absence before 9.30am and then send a letter confirming the reason for absence when they return to school. Please try to arrange any medical appointments outside school hours to ensure the least disruption to your child’s education.
Holidays
Please arrange your holidays to fit in with school term dates, which are available well in advance. The demands of the National Curriculum mean that the whole term is carefully planned: if children miss a week or two during the term it is disruptive for your child and for the rest of the class too. If you cannot avoid taking a holiday during term time, please ask for the absence to be authorised in advance (forms are available in the school office). Please note that no holidays will be authorised during May, the first two weeks of September or for children whose attendance over the past year has been below 95%.
Could you help in school?
We are always pleased when parents are able to help us in school. Parents are always needed to help with school trips and the weekly visit to the swimming pool.
Newsletter
School Newsletters are sent home on the first Friday of the month. They provide parents and carers with information about school events, including future diary dates.
